How to Use Targeted Marketing With Google AdWords
There are three main key to creating a successful online affiliate business. You must know what products to promote, where to promote these products, how to promote them. The problem with most internet marketing guru's is that they give you only a piece of the affiliate puzzle. They will show you one or two key elements of how to make money not the whole picture. I am going to start my online series of articles featuring Google AdWords.
Google Ads are one of the most effective ways to sell your products online. Unfortunately, you can also burn a lot of money if you just use key word selection. Knowing where to promote with Google is key. When you go to create your next online campaign, really take a look to see if your traffic in effectively directed.
What you want to look for is targeted traffic. If you are promoting a product that cures acne you may be tempted to use the AdWord "acne" in your search. This could be a huge mistake. Try to target your efforts on the demographic of individuals that are prone to acne. 13-20 year olds are the category of acne sufferers. With Google AdWords, you can specify a specific demographic by age, thereby increasing the effectiveness of your ad dollars.
Demographic isolation is just one of several methods of market segmentation. You can also target using geographics, where people live, and psychographics, how people think. You can even specify exactly which URL's you wish to target with your campaigns. This is especially important with niche products.
Many people I have talked to that use Google AdWords miss out on the "targeted market" and believe that the spray and prey technique works just fine. I would say to those individuals that if you have worked hard for your money on the internet, you should spend your ad dollars wisely. As they say, easy come easy go. Making an ad that is not targeted is like throwing your money away in a casino.

When choosing a blog post title or topic, it is important you take in consideration your reader's desired topics. You need to find out which keywords are being searched for in the search engines.
Using the highest keyword search terms will help people find your blog on search engines and will bring a mass amount of traffic to your site.
Here's 2 ways on how to find the highest keyword search terms with the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.
Finding The Highest Keyword Search Terms
1) Go to the Adwords Keyword Tool.
2) Under Enter one keyword or phrase per line, type in your general keyword(without being too specific) - ex. chocolate mousse, cd player, nike shoes.
3) Hit the Get Keyword Ideas Button.
4) Wait patiently for results.
5) Observe the four columns.
a) keywords: Use the keyword list to find which terms to include in your blog post titles and choose topics accordingly.
b) Advertiser Competition: The more advertiser competition, the harder it will be to get good pagerank results. Try to choose keywords that have little or no advertiser competition if possible.
c) Approx. Search Volume: Use these estimates to determine how many people search for that keyword each month. The higher the search volume, the more traffic you can get from that keyword.
d) Approx. Avg Search Volume: Another estimate of the average search volume for every month. The higher this number, the better.
Another cool way to generate keyword ideas with the Adwords Keyword tool is by using its Website Content. Here's how:
1) Go to the Adword's Keyword Tool.
2) On the left side of the page, under How would you like to generate keyword ideas? click the website content bullet point.
3) Enter your website url under Enter a webpage Url to find keywords related to the content of the page.
a) You can include other pages on your site linked from your url by clicking the check box below it.
4) Hit Get Keyword Ideas and let the tool do its magic!

Google Adwords Promotion Secrets That Will Explode Your Income

Google Adwords promotion will drive a lot of traffic to your website. However, most people fail running successful Adwords campaigns. Follow these tips and substantially boost your Google Adwords results.
Before your visitor will read the advert you need to create an attention grabbing headline. Ensure there are keywords in the headline as Google highlights this and will bring attention to the headline and improve your click through rate.
After the headline you need to create an advert that appeals to your visitor. Focus on the benefits of your product as this will stir up emotion in your user to click through to your website and refrain from exaggerating your product with unbelievable claims.
You need to split test at least 3 adverts at a time to see which advert performs best. Using this technique I increased the click through rate of an advert from 0.2% to 8.5%. Try different headlines and different copy. The higher your click through rate the lower you Google ppc costs.
You need to display your url as www.MyWebSite.com. Start each new word with a capital and this will significantly improve your click through rate.
You should use the Google tracking tools or you can use some of the more advanced tools from other vendors like Hypertracker. You need to ensure your sales page or lead generation page converts. Work out how much it costs to make a sale. So say for example you are paying 30 cents a click and you are converting 1 out of every 20 visitors. This means you need to spend 6 dollars before making a sale.
If your site consists mainly of lead generation pages with hardly any content you may experience the "Google Slap" with lower rankings and higher bid prices. Google defines this as “A value placed on an individual domain that reflects the quality of the content contained within it.” The following tips will help increase your quality score in Google. Add a contact us and a privacy policy page. Build a sitemap and get a few good quality links pointing into your website. Include more content on your website and you can also start a blog. Google loves blogs and this will raise your Google quality score. Place a link in your blog to your main lead generation pages and vice versa.
